Cambridge Primary

An international education programme, typically for young learners aged 5 to 12 years and is used in primary schools around the world. The Curriculum covers Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6). The focus is to build on the 21st Century Skills which comprise:

  • Learning Skills (4Cs – Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration and Communication),
  • Literary Skills (Information, literacy and technology skills) and
  • Life Skills (Flexibility, Leadership, Initiative, Productivity and Social Skills – FLIPS)

Each skill is unique in how it helps students, but they all have one quality in common. It develops young learners who are confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged.

Our Cambridge Primary School programme is endorsed by Cambridge Assessment International Examination (CAIE) which is part of the University of Cambridge, enhanced by the highly regarded International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and supported by language education in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

In Key Stages 1 and 2, students are introduced to a wide range of subjects and studies where learning is hands-on, exciting and interesting. Cambridge Primary English enables learners to communicate confidently and effectively and to develop the critical skills to respond to a range of information, media and texts with understanding and enjoyment.

The Mathematics Curriculum framework explores five content areas: number, geometry, measurement, handling data and problem solving. This curriculum focuses on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships so that learners can apply their mathematical knowledge and develop a holistic understanding of the subject.

The Science Curriculum framework covers four content areas: scientific enquiry which is about considering ideas, evaluating evidence, planning, investigating, recording and analysing data; biology, chemistry and physics.

Environmental awareness and some history of science are also part of the curriculum. We prepare learners for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning.
